Richard E. Herrington is President and Chief Executive Officer of Franklin Financial Network and Franklin Synergy Bank. Herrington's 37 year banking career includes service with banks in Florida, South Carolina and First American Bank in Nashville. Herrington also served as a bank consultant with Price Waterhouse prior to establishing his own community bank data processing and consulting firm. In 1989, Herrington co-founded Franklin Financial Corporation (Franklin National Bank) where he served as President and CEO until 2002. Late in 2002, he was recruited by the Board of Civitas BankGroup (then Cumberland Bancorp) and became the President and Chief Executive Officer of the five-bank holding company, charged with engineering a turn-around of a troubled banking organization. Upon the sale of Civitas BankGroup, Herrington founded Franklin Synergy Bank in 2007 with a team of veteran local bankers.
Ashley P. Hill, III is Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer of Franklin Synergy Bank. He has been in banking in middle Tennessee for 24 years, including stints at Third National Bank (now SunTrust) as Assistant Vice President/Commercial Relationship Manager and Brentwood National Bank as Senior Vice President and Commercial Lender. Hill also served at Trans Financial Bank as Community President over markets in Davidson, Williamson, Maury, and Rutherford counties. In 1998, Hill joined the Cumberland Bank (then The Community Bank) and Civitas BankGroup family, progressing to the position of Chief Operating Officer before joining the Civitas holding company full-time in 2003 as Director of Corporate Risk Management. Hill was a key member of the executive management turnaround team at Civitas. Upon the sale of Civitas BankGroup, Hill founded Franklin Synergy Bank in 2007 with a team of veteran local bankers.
Lisa L. Musgrove is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Franklin Financial Network and Franklin Synergy Bank. Her banking career began in 1989 when she was Vice President, Controller, and Treasurer of Tennessee National Bank in Columbia, Tennessee. While with Tennessee National, she also served as Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and Treasurer for holding company Tennessee Bancorp, Inc. In 1994, Musgrove joined Herrington at Franklin Financial Corp. (Franklin National Bank) as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 2003, she joined Civitas BankGroup as Chief Operating Officer and added the responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer in 2004. Musgrove was a key member of the turnaround team which returned Civitas and Cumberland Bank to sound footing. Upon the sale of Civitas BankGroup, Musgrove founded Franklin Synergy Bank in 2007 with a team of veteran local bankers.
Aimee M. Punessen is Senior Vice President for Marketing, Public and Investor Relations of Franklin Synergy Bank. Punessen began her career in aerospace, serving as B-1B and Airbus A320 and A330 Contract and Program Manager at Avco Aerostructures (currently Vought Aircraft Industries). A second career in non-profit public relations and fund-raising included service at The Girl Scout Council of Cumberland Valley as Williamson County Development Director, and Education First Foundation, Williamson County's public education foundation as Executive Director. More recently, Punessen served as a consultant to Williamson Works, a non-profit workforce development organization working in tandem with the Williamson County Economic Development Office. In 2006, Punessen joined Civitas BankGroup as Assistant Vice President and Manager of Public and Investor Relations. Upon the sale of Civitas BankGroup, Punessen founded Franklin Synergy Bank in 2007 with a team of veteran local bankers.
Kevin A. Herrington is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Franklin Synergy Bank. After serving in the U.S. Army, Herrington joined Franklin National Bank in 2000 as Manager of Information Systems. In 2002, he was recruited to Civitas BankGroup as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Herrington is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a certification that designates competence in operations, telecommunications, network and environmental security, information security and risk management, cryptography, disaster recovery planning and security architecture and design. In 2006, Herrington received Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification, a designation that denotes qualifications to solve the industry's toughest electronic payment challenges. Upon the sale of Civitas BankGroup, Herrington founded Franklin Synergy Bank in 2007 with a team of veteran local bankers.
